Our Story
Built to make roofing decisions clearer
Before founding Becker Roofing and Exteriors, Sean Becker spent years developing experience in project management, recruiting, training, construction, estimating, and insurance claims. He later helped operate a general contracting company for four years.
Today, Sean brings more than 16 years of Dallas-Fort Worth roofing and insurance-industry experience. His background in adjusting, construction consulting, estimating, and project management gives customers a broader view of the property, the roof system, and the documentation needed to make a sound decision.
That experience shaped a family-oriented company where education comes before pressure. We want customers to understand repair versus replacement, material options, ventilation, storm damage, maintenance, and the long-term consequences of each choice.

What Guides Us
Five values behind every recommendation
Integrity
Doing the right thing even when nobody is watching and being honest when a repair is enough.
Excellence
Expecting quality workmanship, careful documentation, professional service, and a thorough cleanup.
Customer Focus
Listening first and helping customers choose what fits their property, priorities, and long-term plans.
Accountability
Standing behind our communication, project planning, promises, and completed work.
Commitment to People
Building lasting relationships with customers, employees, trade partners, and our local community.
Education
Explaining roofing systems and claim documentation in plain language so customers can decide confidently.

What Makes Us Different
We focus on the decision, not simply the sale
Many roofing companies begin with a proposal. We begin by understanding the property, inspecting the system, and documenting what we find.
Our team explains material choices, insurance considerations, energy-efficiency opportunities, storm damage, maintenance needs, and whether a focused repair or complete replacement makes more sense.
Educated customers make better roofing decisions.
Sean also authored Roofs That Last to help property owners understand roofing systems, select a contractor, and make choices that support a longer-lasting roof.

Building Relationships and Roofs That Last
A promise that grew from the way we work
The phrase was not created by a marketing company. It grew naturally after Sean wrote a book to help customers make better roofing decisions.

Our technology helps us monitor severe weather affecting customer properties. When significant storms occur, we can help customers determine whether an inspection is warranted.

Serving Our Community
Local relationships matter to our family
Becker Roofing and Exteriors is active in the communities where we live and work. Our connections include St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Keller, the Keller Chamber of Commerce, Colleyville Chamber of Commerce, and Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce.
We have also supported local schools and community organizations, including Willis Lane Elementary. For us, being local means more than listing cities on a service map. It means participating, supporting neighbors, and being available after the project is complete.
Residential and Commercial Perspective
Understanding the whole property changes the recommendation
A roof does not work by itself. Ventilation, decking, flashing, drainage, mechanical equipment, insulation, gutters, siding, and interior moisture signs can all affect what we find and what should happen next.
That is why our background extends beyond installing shingles. We look for the conditions that caused a leak, the details that may shorten a new roof’s life, and the surrounding systems that need to be considered before work begins.
For commercial properties, the same principle applies to membranes, penetrations, drainage, rooftop equipment, maintenance history, and disruption to tenants or business operations. Good planning considers both the roofing system and how the property is used.
Customers deserve a recommendation based on the building in front of us. Sometimes that means replacement. Sometimes it means a targeted repair, continued monitoring, maintenance, or gathering better documentation before making a larger decision.
Company Milestones
Growing steadily since September 2018
Sean and Meghan Becker established Becker Roofing and Exteriors in Keller, Texas, in September 2018. Sean had previously spent four years helping operate SBMG Construction after building experience in project management, recruiting, training, construction, estimating, and insurance claims.
Storm seasons may change from year to year, but the company’s growth has been built around steady relationships, repeat customers, professional development, and hiring people who share its commitment to teamwork and customer satisfaction.
Training remains part of that growth. Team members are expected to keep learning about roofing systems, construction practices, documentation, materials, and the communication needed to guide home and property owners through complicated projects.

Selected Project Experience
From family homes to complex commercial restoration
The company’s project history includes residential roofing, commercial systems, remodeling, water restoration, and larger property-loss projects. Its company profile identifies apartment reconstruction work in Fort Worth, a substantial Southlake water-restoration project, medical and business properties, and commercial centers.
Multifamily Restoration
Build-back work following losses at two Fort Worth apartment complexes required construction coordination beyond a standard residential roof replacement.
Commercial Properties
Selected completed work includes Frisco Primary Care, C and S Business Park, and the commercial center at 1103 Keller Parkway.
Water and Property Restoration
A large Southlake home restoration and other complex losses drew on the team’s construction, estimating, documentation, and insurance experience.

Peace of mind is the real deliverable
Customers may remember the material and color they selected, but they also remember whether calls were returned, questions were answered, the property was protected, and the team remained accountable.
Our aim is to make each project timely, efficient, professional, and easier for the property owner to understand.

Featured Project
Contributing expertise to HGTV’s Renovation Impossible
Becker Roofing and Exteriors was invited to contribute to a Dallas renovation associated with HGTV’s Renovation Impossible and host Russell Holmes. The project drew on the team’s storm-restoration and insurance-claim experience while working within a larger home transformation.
According to the company profile, that expertise helped identify more than ,000 in construction savings for the homeowner. The experience reflects a larger principle behind the company: strong technical knowledge can help customers avoid unnecessary expense while still protecting the property correctly.
Opportunities like this are meaningful, but the same care belongs on every inspection and project, whether cameras are present or not.
Our Mission
Construction is an avenue to make a positive difference
High-quality work, safety, efficiency, and professionalism are fundamental expectations. What should distinguish a company is how its employees and customers experience the work.
Becker Roofing and Exteriors is committed to a positive environment where team members can grow personally and professionally. That investment carries into customer service: knowledgeable people are better prepared to explain the work, solve problems, and take responsibility.
Roofs and construction projects are not simply transactions. They are opportunities to protect a home or business, reduce uncertainty, and create a relationship that continues after the final inspection.

Recognized for consumer education, roofing ethics, and practical problem-solving
Watchdog columnist Dave Lieber has featured Sean Becker and Becker Roofing and Exteriors in three stories. Together, the articles trace a consistent idea: property owners deserve clearer information, accountable contractors, and practical ways to avoid expensive mistakes.
Watchdog Nation Hall of Fame – 2023
Honesty and transparency recognized in an unregulated industry
Sean was selected as one of nine members of the 2023 Watchdog Nation Hall of Fame. The recognition highlighted his commitment to honesty and transparency, the consumer guidance in Roofs That Last, annual roof inspections, and ethical agreements required of crews working for the company.
The honor matters because Texas does not require a state roofing license. Homeowners must evaluate contractors carefully, and roofers must choose to hold themselves to a meaningful standard even when regulation does not compel them to do so.

Roofing tips that can save homeowners money
The Watchdog’s original profile introduced Sean’s book and his subcontractor ethical agreement. It also shared 15 questions homeowners should ask before hiring a roofer, covering inspections, permits, manufacturer certifications, flashing, ventilation, insurance, supervision, warranties, and storm response.

December 21, 2023
A role model for roofing accountability
In naming Sean to the Watchdog Nation Hall of Fame, Dave Lieber emphasized courage, creativity, and caring. The article recognized a contractor trying to raise expectations in an industry where property owners can otherwise be vulnerable to incomplete work and broken promises.

Helping multifamily properties find energy savings
A later Watchdog story followed Sean’s work with Will Springer on The Multi Family Energy Savers Guide. Their research explains how owners of older apartment properties may combine weatherization, energy-efficiency programs, rebates, and grants to reduce upgrade costs and residents’ utility burdens.
What this means for our customers
Recognition is encouraging, but it is not a substitute for performance. Our standard remains practical: inspect thoroughly, document what we find, explain the options, comply with local codes, protect the property, supervise the work, and put important commitments in writing.

A Team With Practical Experience
Different projects require different knowledge
Roofing decisions can involve materials, ventilation, decking, drainage, HVAC penetrations, insurance documentation, scheduling, safety, and customer communication. Our team brings experience from several parts of construction rather than approaching every property with one narrow point of view.
From the first inspection through final cleanup, we work to give each stage clear ownership and keep customers informed about what is happening next.

How We Serve Customers
A coordinated process from inspection through follow-up
Inspect and Listen
We begin with the customer’s concerns, property history, and a detailed look at the roofing system.
Document and Explain
Photos, measurements, material condition, and practical tradeoffs are translated into understandable next steps.
Plan the Work
Scope, materials, scheduling, access, protection, communication, and cleanup are organized before production begins.
Manage the Project
Project managers coordinate field work and help customers understand progress, changes, and completion details.
Inspect the Result
Final review and cleanup matter. We want the completed property and surrounding area treated with care.
Remain a Resource
Storm updates, maintenance guidance, future inspections, and the Roofs That Last Membership support the relationship after installation.
Why Our Backgrounds Matter
Better questions lead to better project decisions
Roofing and Claims
Sean’s estimating and insurance background helps the team recognize the difference between installation concerns, age-related wear, storm damage, maintenance, and conditions that require stronger documentation.
Construction Management
Decades of combined construction experience help our project managers anticipate access, sequencing, material, protection, trade-coordination, and cleanup issues before they become surprises.
Building Systems
Experience with HVAC, ventilation, flooring, and other building systems helps the team consider how roofing work connects to the rest of a home or commercial property.
Communication is part of the work
A technically sound project can still be frustrating when customers do not know what is happening. Our goal is to explain findings, establish responsibilities, communicate schedule changes, and give customers a clear point of contact.
We also understand that customers may be balancing insurance conversations, tenants, real estate transactions, family schedules, or active business operations. Project management should reduce that stress rather than add to it.
Accountability continues after installation
Our relationship is not supposed to end when the crew leaves. We remain available for questions, future inspections, maintenance discussions, storm updates, and warranty concerns.
The Roofs That Last philosophy is built around that longer view: good materials matter, but so do installation details, maintenance, documentation, and having a roofing company that still answers the phone later.
Local and Accessible
A team customers can reach
Our office is located in North Richland Hills, and our team serves communities across Northeast Tarrant County and the greater North Texas area. Customers can call the office for project questions, use our dedicated text line for convenient communication, or request an inspection online.
